Winner of the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis 2014 for Piedra, papel o tijera. In 2019, she won the XXX Ala Delta Award for Literature for children ,Edelvives Group, for her novel Lilo and in 2021 she won the Alandar Award for Young Readers, Edelvives Group, for her  novel De la boca de un león.

She has published novels and tales for children, teenagers and adults and has taken part in several anthologies.
She is the first Latin American writer  to have received the Deutscher Jungerliteraturpreis 2014 for her novel Piedra, papel o tijera.

Her books have been translated into German, French, Dutch, Russian  and Italian, among other languages.

In 2018 she won the Looren scholarship for translators. In 2019, the XXX Ala Delta Award for Literature for children, Edelvives Group and in 2021 she won the Alandar Award for Young Readers, Edelvives Group, for her  novel De la boca de un león.
