The books selected for the White Ravens catalogue, which is compiled each year by the Internationale Jugendbibliothek (International Youth Library), are chosen from thousands of texts submitted for consideration. This year’s catalogue features 200 new children’s books from around the world in 39 languages. For many years, this list has been honoring exceptional and innovative children’s books from all over the world, which stand out for their linguistic content and artistic quality, and are examples of a country’s children’s literary culture.
