As a screenwriter, he worked on the television adaptation of Roberto Arlt’s classic Los siete locos, as part of a team of screenwriters led by Ricardo Piglia.

His children’s and young adult novels have won major international awards such as the White Ravens (on three occasions), the Colibrí Medal in Chile, the El Alija de Teatro, the Fundación Cuatro Gatos, the Argentine Chamber of Publications, and the Farmiente Prize (where Belgian readers choose their favourite novel of the year). He was also awarded the Konex Prize in the Youth category.

His thriller La oscuridad de los colores has sold over fifty thousand copies and has been a success in France, Belgium and Canada.

In 2021, he won the First National Prize for Children’s Literature (the most important in Argentina) with his novel En la senda del contrario.
