March arrived and classes began. Teacher Agustín welcomed his students and warmly shook each of their hands. There were only three of them: Teruel, Cayetana, and Emilio, the oldest in the school. He also gave them a book and a proposal: they would read it together every Friday until the end of the year.
Many thought there was no place for stories where poverty abounded. But Teacher Agustín put on his best voice, and with each page, the town they lived in, without running water, without mercy, and without dreams, was transformed.
With unique sensitivity, Liliana Bodoc constructs a luminous story that reminds us that reading is always an act of resistance and love.
It gives wings to reading, dreams, doors; we live a thousand lives on every page, and we can reinvent reality for a while. Libros Pura Letra
